Site audit

Use Site audit to check your primary domain, find audited pages and choose what to recheck.

Site audit overview

Open Site → Audit for domain checks, scores and external-link review. Open Pages for the page tree and page selection. Traffic & results opens a separate view of citations and Google results.

The primary domain supplies the audit. Other brand domains are tracked without their own audit here. Manage domains in the Site screen’s domain card.

Site audits read HTML for SSPS and automatically analyse page content. Content checks do not use the separate render-and-performance allowance. Rendering produces SSPS+; Lighthouse produces the independent PERF score. A full-site audit renders the reachable homepage without using the manual allowance. On plans allowing renders beyond the homepage, it also selects one representative per page type. Manual render-and-performance requests use the configured page allowance. See Page content analysis.

Run an audit for the whole site

Click Run audit for site. During a full run, Updating… and progress indicators replace the previous results while they refresh. Check the last-audit date and any failed or partial-run notice before relying on the results.

Eligible paid brands also receive a weekly site refresh. Free does not receive this scheduled refresh, even though the screen carries a weekly label.

Good to know Crawl coverage depends on your plan. A capped audit covers the reported pages, not necessarily the whole site. If you have already increased the limit, run the audit again to use that coverage.

Find a page in Pages

Open Pages. The tree groups pages by detected language and then by URL sections, such as /blog. Expand a branch or use Expand all and Collapse all. Search by a URL path to narrow the tree.

Use All, Errors, Redirects, AI-cited or Performance measured. Errors and redirects are separate: a redirect can lead to a working destination. AI-cited identifies recorded citations; Performance measured identifies saved performance results.

Click a page to open Page audit. The tree’s section scores summarise their pages; they are not the domain score that also includes site-wide checks.

Recheck selected pages

  1. In Pages, select the pages you want to recheck.
  2. Use Run audit for a site audit, or Measure performance for rendering and performance measurement.
  3. Use Clear or Esc to clear the selection.

Selected-page runs do not recrawl the whole site. Manual rendering and performance measurements use the monthly page allowance; PDF pages are excluded. When the allowance is exhausted, check the displayed reset date or plan options. Read the content-analysis and performance dates separately after a page changes.

The content table above the page tree and its type, format, stage, purpose and target-action filters help you find relevant pages. Click a table cell to apply a filter. See Page content analysis for what each field means.

Read domain checks and score coverage

The Audit view groups checks for access, bots, indexing, discovery, canonical addresses and brand identity. The homepage’s social preview appears alongside its social checks. Read each finding and its question-mark explanation before choosing a fix.

States include OK, Needs work, Failing, No data and Manual check. A not-applicable check can appear resolved without contributing to the score. Confirm manual domain checks yourself, then use Mark done; Mark as not done removes that confirmation. Google/Bing index verification and the visual social-image confirmation do not change SSPS.

Check the page count below each score. SSPS covers standard-audited pages together with domain checks. SSPS+ and PERF summarise pages with those deep measurements, which can be a much smaller set. See SSPS, SSPS+ and PERF.

External links to review lists links the crawler could not reliably verify, including blocked requests and missing responses. Broken external links lists detected errors and links marked invalid.

Open the target yourself. Where the verdict controls are available, choose Valid link or Invalid link. Click the active verdict again to reset it. Owners, admins and members can record these verdicts; viewers can read them.

A link verdict applies across the brand’s audited pages that use that URL. It can update link-health findings and SSPS without a new crawl. This differs from the advisory manual domain checks above.
