Page audit

Open Page audit to inspect one page’s checks, scores, links and technical recommendations.

Page audit overview

Open Site → Pages, then click a page. Back to site schema returns to the page tree. The header shows SSPS, SSPS+ and PERF, with dashes where a measurement is unavailable, and a summary of high- and medium-priority issues.

The page-content card, HTML checks, content analysis, render/performance results, links and recommendations appear below. See Page content analysis for classification fields. A redirect has a separate view with its destination; open that destination to inspect the content’s audit. PDFs receive standard checks without the HTML deep-audit controls.

Use Open in Trackers to open the same page in Traffic & results.

Read a check and its evidence

Each check has a status, a finding and a question-mark explanation. States include OK, Needs work, Failing, No data and Manual check. Missing data is different from failure. A not-applicable check can appear resolved.

A failing automatic check marked Blocker forces that page’s SSPS to zero. A warning or missing result is not the same gate. A deep request first refreshes standard checks; if an automatic blocker fails, deep analysis is skipped.

The HTML checks cover access, metadata, language, links and social media. Content analysis checks the extracted main text; render results cover the rendered page and extractability. Performance is measured separately. Raw-HTML and rendered-page findings can differ because JavaScript changes what is available.

Page check cards do not provide the domain’s manual confirmation buttons. Complete manual domain checks in Site audit. A pending deep check asks for a deep audit, rather than a manual confirmation.

Run or rerun this page’s audit

Use Run audit to refresh the HTML checks and content analysis. Use Measure performance for rendering and performance measurement. Owners, admins and members can run these operations; viewers can read the results.

Content analysis accompanies the site audit without a separate render allowance. Manual render-and-performance requests use the monthly page allowance. A full-site audit’s automatic homepage and eligible representative-page renders do not use that manual allowance. If it is exhausted, review the displayed reset date and plan options.

Content analysis and rendering have separate dates. After a page changes, inspect which results describe its current version before relying on saved SSPS+ or PERF measurements. Older saved pages may still show the legacy Run deep audit control; its available checks and dates are shown on that page.

Read the performance metrics

The Performance check card shows six rows: LCP, CLS, TBT, FCP, Speed Index and TTI. Each measured row shows its value and position on a coloured threshold bar. Unavailable values show a dash; checks that have not run do not represent measured zero.

The summary is PERF in the header. See PERF for how to read that score and its limits.

Links on this page groups links by their location in the page. Use Errors, No response or External to narrow the list.

A failed or blocked probe needs checking; it does not establish that every visitor sees a broken page. Contact links such as mailto: are not HTTP checks. Where controls are available, verify the destination yourself, then choose Valid link or Invalid link. Click the active verdict again to reset it. These verdicts apply to the same URL across the brand’s audited pages and can change link-health findings and SSPS.

Internal links to this page shows which audited internal pages link here. An empty list means no incoming links were found in that inventory, not that no link exists anywhere on the web.

Open the relevant technical recommendation

Technical recommendations shows issue recommendations whose affected-page list includes this page. Open a card to read the instructions and full affected list. The same issue can affect several pages.

Domain-wide recommendations and manual verification items are in the relevant recommendation queues, rather than all appearing in this page’s list. See Technical. After applying a fix, rerun the appropriate audit to verify the page’s measured result.
