Help Understanding your results

Market

Set your buyer market and read the research used to understand its demand and competitors.

Market overview

Open Context in the sidebar. Under Market in the Business context tree, choose Geography and buyer language, How does the market work, and how do buyers choose?, Which Google searches find us? or Market notes.

The market map brings together the accepted market context and research. It describes the category, buyer vocabulary, demand and competitors. It is not a measurement of AI answers. Read AI answers separately in Prompts & answers.

How to set geography and buyer language

  1. Open Geography and buyer language.
  2. Under Where your brand operates, choose the geographic level and the areas where you sell. Where offered, use Add… to select more areas.
  3. Check the explanatory line showing where AI requests are made from. For multiple selected areas, the primary area controls that request location; use the primary action beside an area to change it.
  4. Choose Your buyers’ language, the language buyers use to ask AI.
  5. Click Save and review the change confirmation before saving it.

Existing prompts stay as written. Subsequent scans use the new request location and buyer language, and the market map is researched again. A change is marked on the measurement timeline, so take it into account when comparing scans.

If available, Back to what the system detected returns to the system-detected settings. Viewer access is read-only.

Good to know Buyer language, internal-document language and interface language are different settings. New documents use the language selected in Brand; the interface follows Account settings.

How to read and compare market maps

Open How does the market work, and how do buyers choose?. Read the category, buyer vocabulary, demand clusters and comparison criteria. Use the cited evidence to check the relevant section.

The header shows the version, build date, source count, build trigger and market context. Select another available version to read an earlier map. Diff compares the selected map with the previous successful or partial version.

The map’s language and the language of buyer terms can differ. Check the displayed context instead of assuming that every term follows your interface language.

How to edit a market map

Owners and Admins can use Edit map on the current map, change the relevant fields and click Save version. A save creates a new version. Measured search volumes and technical telemetry are not editable business facts.

If no map exists, Create market map opens the editor for manual setup. An earlier version offers Use as draft. Editing a map does not start paid research. If the current version changed while you edited, reload it and merge your changes before saving.

How to rebuild a market map

Re-research requests fresh research when your business or market context has changed. The control depends on your permissions and remaining allowance. Research needs a completed or partial site audit as input.

Research can produce a Proposal, which does not replace the current accepted map until you apply it. Select the proposal in the version selector, read its changes and use Apply proposal when it is appropriate. If its starting context has changed, review the conflict before applying it.

While a build runs, progress appears on the page. A missing market, failed build or partial map has its own message. A partial map contains incomplete sections; it is not proof that those parts of the market do not exist.

How to review real demand

Open Which Google searches find us? to review search-query themes found in connected Search Console data that the market map does not cover. Search demand is evidence from Google search, not proof of how often buyers ask AI the same question.

Use Accept or Dismiss for each relevant candidate. Acceptance records your decision; it does not immediately create prompts or run a scan. Review coverage on Prompts and categories.

How to add market notes

Open Market notes to supply context that the research needs. Edit the document and click Save. Saved revisions are available in History.
