Funnels
Describe the first contact you want marketing to generate and the sales steps that follow it.
Funnels overview
Open Funnels to see the current brand’s buyer paths. The first step is the Activator: a consultation, webinar, trial, phone call or meeting that brings someone into contact with your business.
Step documents give context for Campaigns. They describe the path and its conditions; they do not track individual leads or conversion rates. You can use a funnel with only its first step.
Create a funnel and describe its first contact
- Click Create funnel, enter its Name and click Save. The activator is created automatically.
- Open its document. Describe who the contact is for, the problem it helps with, what the person receives and how to start. Include verified price, duration and restrictions. A URL is optional.
- Save the document. The saved description supplies the conditions writers and reviewers use when preparing campaign material.
Use About the funnel for background shared by all steps, such as what you sell and why this path exists. This document is optional.
Add or change the later steps
Use Add step, enter a name and save. Describe the step’s purpose, expectations, objections and conditions when you have useful information to add.
Earlier and Later change the order of later steps. They cannot move ahead of the activator. Rename changes a name while retaining its document. Remove step removes a later step; it cannot remove the activator.
Good to know Removing a later step retains its saved document and revision history. You do not need to create later steps just to make the funnel usable.
Select a funnel for a campaign
Choose one or more funnels when creating a campaign. You can save an idea without one. Starting work and approving the campaign composition require at least one selected, enabled funnel with a saved, nonempty activator description.
You can change the selection during the idea and preparation stages. Once the campaign advances, its funnel selection is locked. The funnel’s Related campaigns section links to campaigns that use it.
The descriptions help with research, publication outlines, writing, review and result interpretation. A publication can support the buyer path without a direct purchase or booking call to action.
Stop offering a funnel to new campaigns
Turn off Available for campaigns to stop new selections and prevent the funnel from passing the campaign start gates. Existing links and documents remain. Campaigns that have already started can continue their work.
