Sentiment analysis
An assessment of the evaluative tone used about a brand, such as positive, neutral or negative. It describes the wording of an answer, not the feelings of customers.
Explanation
One answer can praise ease of use while criticizing price. Phrase-level analysis helps identify which aspect is being evaluated and which brand the phrase concerns.
For example, “simple to install, but expensive for a small team” contains both positive and negative assessments. A single overall score can hide that distinction.
Automated judgments can miss indirect language, negation or context. Review the relevant phrases before drawing conclusions. Supasaito associates evaluative phrases with brands when calculating sentiment; a neutral assessment is different from the brand not being mentioned.
